At least 8,311 Ukrainian civilians were killed, including 437 children during the war

More than 45 thousand Russian war crimes and more than 19 thousand crimes against the foundations of national security have been recorded in Ukraine as of November 20, 2022.

The Prosecutor General’s Office recorded the death of 8,311 civilians as a result of the full-scale Russian war in Ukraine. Among them are 437 children. In addition, more than 11 thousand civilians were injured.

“More than 45,000 Russian war crimes and more than 19,000 crimes against the foundations of national security have been recorded in Ukraine. According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, the deaths of 8,311 civilians, including 437 children, were recorded. More than 11,000 civilians were injured. But we understand that the real number is much higher, we still don’t have access to some occupied territories of Ukraine,” explained the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

According to Andriy Kostin, 216 persons have already been notified of suspicion of war crimes, 17 of them are Russian prisoners of war.
