Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions in all sectors of Donbas in the past 24 hours

Russian troops shelled at Ukrainian territories in Donbas 59 times massively using heavy weapons during the last day, one Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in action near the Donetsk airport, according to the press service of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters.

In the Donetsk sector Russian troops used 120mm and 82mm mortars to shell the town of Avdiivka and adjacent areas. At this area over 150 mortar shells were launched, more than 65 times tank weapons were used, and the extensive use of light armaments and snipers were recorded. Russian troops used 120mm and 82mm mortars to shell the villages of Luhanske and Opytne. Rocket-propelled grenades, heavy machine guns and small arms were used by Russian troops to attack the villages of Luhanske, Zaitseve, and Kamianka. A Russian troops’ sniper was active in Kamianka. At Svitlodarsk bulge, in Zaytseve, and near the Donetsk airport, Russian troops fired large-caliber machine guns, grenade launchers, and sporadically used mortars. Yesterday Russian troops carried out 18 shellings against Ukrainian positions in the Donetsk sector.

In the Luhansk sector, Russian troops fired 82mm mortars on the villages of Katerynivka and Novo-Oleksandrivka, and used light weapons throughout the day. Russian troops fired rocket-propelled grenades on the village of Stanytsia Luhanska. Yesterday Russian troops carried out 5 shellings against Ukrainian positions in the Luhansk sector.

In the Mariupol sector, Russian troops used 120mm and 82mm mortars to shell the villages of Shyrokyne and Vodiane. Russian troops used the weapons of infantry fighting vehicle in Taramchuk and Shyrokyne. Rocket-propelled grenades, heavy machine guns and small arms were used to fire on the villages of Hnutove, Talakivka, Vodiane, and Pavlopil. Yesterday Russian troops carried out 36 shellings against Ukrainian positions in the Mariupol sector.
