Combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 54 times in the past 24 hours, including 34 in the Mariupol sector, three barrages in the Luhansk sector, and 17 in the Donetsk sector, according to the press service of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters.
View map in full sizeIn the Mariupol sector, the militants engaged the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with heavy machine guns, grenade launchers and small arms in the villages of Hranitne and Talakivka, as well as 82mm and 120mm mortars near the villages of Taramchuk, Pavlopil, Novotroyitske and Slavne. The occupiers also fired from infantry fighting vehicles, mortars of various calibers, machine guns and grenade launchers on the defenders of the towns of Maryinka and Krasnohorivka, and the village of Shyrokyne. Additionally, they fired 152mm cannon artillery systems and 120mm mortars in the village of Vodiane.
In the Donetsk sector, the enemy used machine guns, grenade launchers and mortars of various calibers against the Ukrainian defenders in the villages of Zaitseve, Opytne, Maiorsk and Butivka coal mine, as well as weapons of all calibers, in particular 152mm artillery systems, near the town of Avdiyivka.
In the Luhansk sector, Russia`s hybrid military forces fired small arms on the Ukrainian defenders near the villages of Novo-Oleksandrivka and Stanytsia Luhanska.
