The Ukrainian people’s defense against a massive Russian military assault is still going strong on day 214.
Russian soldiers are still concentrating their efforts on attempting to totally occupy the Donetsk oblast and hold the lands it has taken, as well as to obstruct the Ukrainian Forces’ defending operations in some locations. Russia fires at Ukrainian forces’ locations along the contact line, does illegal aerial reconnaissance, and strives to invade places that have been lost in certain directions.
The Russian Federation keeps ruthlessly attacking civilian houses and infrastructure. The possibility of Russian airstrikes and missile attacks on the entire area of Ukraine still exists.
Russian troops have violated international humanitarian law, war rules, and customs during the previous 24 hours by launching seven missiles, conducting twenty-two airstrikes, and launching more than sixty-seven rounds of anti-aircraft missiles at military and civilian sites on Ukrainian soil.
Russian attacks had an impact on more than thirty-five towns. Zaporizhzhia, Ochakiv, Mykolayiv, Myroliubivka, New York (Donetsk region), Bilohorivka, Krasnohorivka, Pavlivka, and Maiorsk are a few of them.
There hasn’t been much of a shift in the Volyn’ and Polissia directions.
Russia continues to shell in additional directions in Ukraine with tanks, mortars, and barrel artillery, specifically:
- Avdiyivka, Vodiane, Mariyinka and Paraskoviyivka in the Avdiyivka direction;
- Huta-Studenetska (Chernihiv region) and Bachivsk (Sumy region) in the Siverskyi direction;
- Sloviansk, Korovii Yar, Bohorodychne, Yarova and Ozerne in the Kramatorsk raion;
- Soledar, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Opytne, Yakovlivka, Nelipovka, Yuriyivka, Bilohorivka, Rozdolivka in the Bakhmut district;
- Strilecha, Huryiv Kozachok, Dvorichne, Kupiansk and Kucherivka in the Slobozhanskyi direction.
Russian tanks, mortars, and barrel artillery shelled more than twenty Ukrainian communities in the Novopavloisk and Zaporizhzhia directions. Mykilske, Vuhledar, Kurdiumivka, Prechistivka, Shevchenko, Bilohiria, Temyrivka, Vremivka, and Olhivske were attacked in particular.
Russian fire in the direction of South Buh caused damage to more than twenty-five communities along the contact line. More than thirty times Russia used unmanned aerial vehicles to conduct illegal reconnaissance, adjust fire, and execute attacks on civilian infrastructure targets in Ukraine.
The Russian command in the temporarily seized areas is attempting to restrict the rights of personnel of the armed forces of the Russian federation who have signed short-term contracts in conjunction with the partial mobilization declared by the military-political leadership. The announcement that the contract’s length is irrelevant and that the command’s choice would now control how long Russian forces remain in the battle zone was made to the units of the Russian army in the Zaporizhzhia direction. Additionally, it is said that partial mobilization is to blame for the postponement of holidays and cash payments, which already causes a serious decline in the morale and psychological well-being of Russian soldiers.
During the day, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled Russian attacks in the areas of the settlements of Soledar, Vyimka, Kurdiumivka, Zaytseve, Novomykhaylivka, and Pervomayske.
Aviation of the Ukrainian Forces carried out twenty-six strikes – it was confirmed that twenty areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment of the Russian army and six positions of anti-aircraft missile systems were hit.
Missile troops and artillery hit, in particular, five control points, thirteen areas of concentration of Russian manpower and equipment, three positions of anti-aircraft missile complexes, three systems of missile troops and artillery, among them “Hurricane”, and two warehouses with ammunition. Losses are being clarified.
