Operational information on June 6, 2022 regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine

The situation in the Volyn-Polissia regions is not changing. Separate units of the Armed Forces of russia are present on the territory of belarus, near the State Border of Ukraine. To increase stability in defense, the enemy uses additional measures to fortify and engineer equipment positions. It is using intense artillery and mortar bombardment to stop the Ukrainian Defense Forces from attacking the invaders’ positions. The enemy also attacked civilian infrastructure in the Bazylivka, Kutuzivka, and Petrivske settlements.

The russian army is focusing its efforts in the Sloviansk direction on the continuation of the offensive towards the settlement of Sloviansk. Orihove, Lysychansk, and Sloviansk were hit with russian missiles. The enemy is also conducting offensive operations in the Sviatohirsk area, supported by artillery. In the direction of Staryi Karavan and Shchurove, the russian troops are also conducting offensive operations. There is still fighting.

The russian soldiers opened fire on the Ukrainian troops in the direction of Siverskodonetsk with mortars and various artillery systems. The civilian infrastructure around the villages of Metolkino and Borivske, Ustynivka, Toshkivka, and others was also damaged. Siverskodonetsk is still under attack by russians.

The enemy did not engage in active hostilities in the Avdiyivka, Kurahivka, Novopavlivsk, Zaporizhzhya areas. russian troops attacked civilian infrastructure in the Novobahmutivka, Kamianka, Mykilsky, Zolota Nyva, Poltavka districts.Additionally, the russian occupiers fired artillery of various calibers in the areas of the villages of Tavriiske, Nova Zoria, Stepova Dolyna, Novomykolaiivka, Kobzartsi in the South Buh direction.

7 enemy attacks in Donetsk, Luhansk were fought back by the Ukrainian Defense Forces, and 4 tanks, 3 gun systems, and 8 armored combat vehicles have been defeated over the past 24 hours. 3 motor vehicle units and 3 artillery systems have also been destroyed. russian UAV and a Ka-52 combat helicopter were shot down by the Ukrainian air defense units.
