Flight tests were held in the Russian city of Irkutsk with the participation of two Su-30 fighters, one of them fell on a residential building on October 23, 2022. The crew of the aircraft died. A fire broke out at the scene of the accident.

“According to preliminary data, a plane of the “Su” category crashed into a two-story building in Irkutsk,” said the Governor of the city.
The Governor said that he left for the scene.
“All service units are already here. There is no information about the victims yet,” added Ihor Kobzev.
The press service of the main administration of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Irkutsk region clarifies that the Su-30 plane crashed during a test flight.
“The plane fell within the city in the private sector. Fire and rescue units are working on the spot, the information is being clarified,” the press service of the main administration of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Irkutsk region added.
Uaposition memo: The Su-30 is a modernization of Su-27 aircraft of the Sukhoi family. It is partially equipped with Russian parts, but also contains foreign ones, for example French. Russia often uses Su-30 fighters to attack Ukrainian cities. Such an aircraft crash is an example of probably rush mobilization in Russia and poor-quality flight training sessions.
