The Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Sinegubov said that Russian troops hit the market with a rocket in Shevchenkove, the Kharkiv region (east of Ukraine) on January 9, 2023. According to preliminary information, there are seven injured civilians, including a 13-year-old girl.

“The Russian army is again launching rocket attacks on the Kharkiv region. In the village of Shevchenkove, Kupyansk district, a missile strike (preliminarily from the S-300 air defense system) was recorded on the local market,” wrote the Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
Later, the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko announced that the rescue operation was ongoing because people may remain under the rubble.
“Kharkiv region, Shevchenkove settlement. Russian troops fired at the local market, presumably from S-300 missile systems. It is already known about 7 victims. Among them is a child. People may remain under the rubble. The rescue operation is ongoing, and emergency services are working,” said Kyrylo Tymoshenko.
UPD: A 60-year-old women was killed.
