“While Mariupol is thinking about cultural liberation, Russian soldiers demolished half of the drama theatre. They just completely destroyed it. So in two days, not even a physical memory will remain of it,” said an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andryushchenko.

Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets also reported about the destruction of theatre in Mariupol.

“There is no more drama theatre in Mariupol! The Russian occupation authorities razed to the ground what was once an important architectural landmark of the city, and a place where hundreds of people died and survived at the same time. They destroyed the traces of their terrible crimes,” emphasized Dmytro Lubinets.

Earlier, Russian troops deliberately dropped two 500-kilogram bombs on the Mariupol drama theatre Amnesty, where civilians were sheltered.
