The Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko noted that Russian troops shelled one of the districts of Kherson (a city in the south of Ukraine) on December 23, 2022. As a result, 2 people were killed – one man and one woman.

“Another attack by Russian soldiers, another shelling of Korabel district of Kherson. As of now, we know of 1 killed person. The man received landmine-explosive injuries incompatible with life,” said the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
Emergency services are working on the site.
Later, Yaroslav Yanushevych, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration told more details about the Russian shelling.
“A Kherson settlement near the city center was destroyed. People left their homes in terror, realizing that the Russian army was firing at peaceful residents. Rescue workers, law enforcement officers and medics are working at the scene of the attack. Ambulance teams are currently assisting the injured. It is previously known about two killed people – a man and a woman,” explained Yaroslav Yanushevych.
