Russia shelled Ukraine’s western cities, thousands left without power: video

Missiles were fired from Russian territory towards Ukraine, most of which were destroyed by the Ukrainian air defense. However, explosions rang out in the western cities of Ukraine on October 22, 2022. Thousands of people were left without power and some without water due to Russian shelling.

Explosions rang out in Rivne and Lutsk, both cities are partially without electricity. Citizens report columns of thick smoke.

 

Also, explosions were heard in the Khmelnytskyi region during the air alarm. After the attack on Khmelnytskyi, the light disappeared in the city, and citizens were called to stock up on water.

The mayor of Lutsk, Ihor Polishchuk, also emphasized the need to stock up on water, because Russia targeted the energy facility.

“A private house was damaged by the shock wave, as a result of which one person received burns,” said the mayor of Lutsk.

The work of the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces is reported in the Kyiv, Odesa, Cherkasy, and Lviv regions.

In addition, the plane of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down a Russian missile over the Chernivtsi region.
