Yatseniuk wants to see lower prices for gasoline

Companies operating in Ukraine must reduce prices for oil products in accordance with trends in global markets.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said this at a government meeting on Thursday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“Oil prices have been falling actively over the past few weeks: a 24% drop in oil prices on world markets. This morning I held talks with companies that sell oil and oil products in Ukraine, regarding a certain reduction in prices for oil products in Ukraine, because it is consistent with international trends. Now there are assurances, but I will believe them when I see [lower] prices at filling stations,” Yatseniuk said.
In this regard, Azarov instructed the Antimonopoly Committee to “help our oil sellers and importers set fair prices for oil and oil products.”
