USAID allocates more than $375M for humanitarian aid to Ukraine, – US President

The President of the USA Joe Biden stated that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) allocates more than 375 million dollars to Ukraine. Joe Biden said this at a joint press conference with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Washington on December 21, 2022.

“Today, USAID commits to allocate more than 375 million dollars for urgently needed humanitarian aid to Ukraine,” Joe Biden emphasized.

The President of the USA added that this aid would provide food and cash assistance for more than 1.5 million Ukrainians, as well as create access to medical care, safe drinking water, and help stay warm for more than 2.5 million Ukrainians during the winter.

Joe Biden also noted that the United States and allies and partners from around the world delivered to Ukraine “with historic speed” a variety of assistance on a wide range of issues, which was critical to strengthening Ukraine’s success.
