The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken noted on March 3, 2023, that the United States has announced a new defense support package for Ukraine worth a total of $400 million, which includes supplies of missiles for HIMARS, ammunition for artillery and armored vehicles, as well as other types of assistance.

“Pursuant to a delegation of authority from President Biden, I am authorizing our 33rd drawdown of U.S. arms and equipment for Ukraine since August 2021, valued at $400 million,” informed the US Secretary of State.
Antony Blinken clarified that the new package includes additional ammunition for the previously transferred HIMARS systems and howitzers, “which Ukraine is using so effectively to defend itself.” In addition, the United States will send ammunition for Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers, mining equipment. Financing will also cover maintenance of equipment, as well as training of Ukrainian units.
“The United States also continues to rally the world to support Ukraine. We have seen incredible commitment from our allies and partners. We applaud the more than 50 countries who have come together in solidarity with Ukraine to provide support as it defends its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” concluded the US Secretary of State.
