It is noted that during the conversation, Joe Biden expressed his condemnation of the missile strikes by Russia against Ukraine, including Kyiv, and expressed his condolences to the relatives and friends of those killed and injured as a result of these pointless attacks.

“President Biden pledged to continue providing Ukraine with the support needed to defend itself, including advanced air defense systems.”

The US President also stressed his commitment to allies and partners, to continue imposing sanctions against Russia, holding Russia accountable for war crimes and atrocities, as well as providing security and economic assistance to Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called his conversation with the US President productive.

Earlier, the US facilitated the transfer of S-300 systems from Slovakia to Ukraine, and also announced the transfer of anti-aircraft radars and two of its own NASAMS air defense systems. The Ukrainian side, however, says that this amount is not enough and it will not arrive immediately.
