On September 7, 2022, it became known, that US President Joe Biden discussed with the new British Prime Minister Liz Truss for the first time the deepening of cooperation in support of Ukraine.

The Prime Minister’s office said in a statement that Biden and Truss discussed deepening cooperation with NATO and the security agreement between the United States, Australia and Great Britain, concluded last year.
“The Prime Minister looked forward to working closely with President Biden as leaders of free democracies to tackle shared challenges, particularly the extreme economic problems unleashed by Putin’s war.”
The White House said in a statement that the two leaders discussed continuing close cooperation on Ukraine, solving problems created by China, preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons and ensuring sustainable and affordable energy resources.
“I look forward to deepening the special relationship between our countries and working in close cooperation on global challenges, including continued support for Ukraine as it defends itself against Russian aggression”, US President wrote on Twitter.
