US President Joe Biden has said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is trying to “wipe out the culture and identity of Ukrainians.”

“Not only is he trying to take over Ukraine, he’s literally trying to wipe out the culture and identity of the Ukrainian people. Attacking schools, nurseries, hospitals, museums, with no other purpose than to eliminate a culture.”
Biden also praised the strength of global cooperation in countering Russian aggression, adding that Putin “put the whole of Europe in NATO” by pushing Sweden and Finland to join the defense alliance.
