US national security adviser Jake Sullivan said on November 10, 2022, that the administration of US President Joe Biden announced the allocation of $400M in military aid for Ukraine. The new package of assistance to Ukraine in the field of security and defense includes, in particular, anti-aircraft missile systems, air defense missiles, as well as artillery shells, armored personnel carriers, small arms and other equipment.

“This equipment will complement other air defense contributions announced by our allies and partners. This increased air defense will be critical for Ukraine, as Russia continues to use cruise missiles and Iranian-made drones to attack critical civilian infrastructure,” explained the US national security adviser.
This is the 25th time that the US has sent security aid to Ukraine under the presidential drawdown authority.
$400M worth of military aid for Ukraine includes:
- Missiles for HAWK air defense systems;
- four Avenger air defense systems, and Stinger missiles;
- additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS);
- 21,000 155mm artillery rounds;
- 500 precision-guided 155mm artillery rounds;
- 10,000 120mm mortar rounds;
- 100 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles (HMMWVs);
- 400 grenade launchers;
- small arms, optics, and more than 20,000,000 rounds of small arms ammunition;
- demolition equipment for obstacle clearing;
- cold weather protective gear.
