“I plan to visit Ukraine and hold discussions with the top leadership of the Ukrainian government in Kyiv on Thursday. We will speak on the same topics and others that they will undoubtedly present to me, and also I want to see firsthand the humanitarian response,” Griffiths said.
Griffiths said that he visited the Russian Federation on Monday. He discussed the possibility of a humanitarian ceasefire, issues of humanitarian convoys, and safe corridors at meetings with high-ranking Russian officials.
“My colleagues in Moscow received these proposals and assured me of their intention to carefully study these ideas. We agreed to remain in close contact. I came out of these meetings, realizing that we have a very long road ahead of us, but it must be passed and we will pass it.”
