UN deputy spokesperson Farhan Haq listed the conditions that are needed to dispatch of a peacekeeping contingent to Ukraine:
“The appropriate request from the country, as well as the mandate, approved by the Security Council, are needed. So far, we do not have any of the things” Farhan Haq underlined.
For this moment the Security Council isn’t holding any official discussions on this matter and the issue of sending peacekeepers might have been discussed on an informal level.
