Oleksiy Hromov, the Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on September 8, 2022, that Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to conduct counteroffensive operations in the east of Ukraine. In particular, it became known, that Ukrainian military liberated more than 20 settlements in the Kharkiv direction.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with units of the National Guard and other security forces, have been conducting active actions in the specified directions, as part of the defense operation in the Kharkiv direction with the aim of restoring the lost territories, since the beginning of the week.”
Currently, the Ukrainian military wedged into the enemy’s defense to a depth of 50 km.
“Filtration operations are ongoing in a number of settlements. More than 20 settlements were liberated in the course of conducting active actions in the Kharkiv direction.”
