Ukrainian troops eliminated 115 Russian soldiers and injured 197 in the Donetsk region

The Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on March 8, 2023, that hostilities between Ukrainian and Russian soldiers continue in the Bakhmut direction (Donetsk region, east of Ukraine). As a result, 115 Russian servicemen were killed and 197 – injured.

“Bakhmut still is the main epicenter of hostilities. There were 35 shellings and 12 clashes in the Bakhmut region alone, 115 Russian soldiers were eliminated, and 197 were injured of various degrees,” explained the Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to Serhiy Cherevatyy, 102 shellings by various types of rocket-propelled artillery took place during the day in the entire Bakhmut direction.

The Spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also added that the main assault force of the Russian army are the representatives of the Wagner group but due to heavy losses, they were reinforced by units of airborne and mechanized troops of the Russian army. Artillery and aviation are also used.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated 244 Russian soldiers in the Bakhmut area and injured 315 on March 7, 2023.
