The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted on October 29, 2022, that Ukrainian military shot down more than 40 Iranian attack drones, a significant number of Russian missiles, six attack helicopters and several Russian aircraft during one week.

“More than 40 Iranian attack drones, a significant number of Russian missiles, six attack helicopters, and several planes of the Russian army were shot down by Ukrainian troops over the course of a week – from Saturday to Saturday. Such a result means hundreds of Ukrainian lives saved, dozens of critical infrastructure objects preserved,” emphasized the President of Ukraine.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also thanked all military personnel who protect Ukrainian skies, saving the country from Russian airstrikes.
Earlier, Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, informed that since September 13, 2022 more than 300 Iranian-made Shahed-136 kamikaze drones have been shot down.
