Ukrainian army liberated a number of settlements in the south

On October 4, 2022, it became known that the Ukrainian defenders are moving south towards the Russian crossing near the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant. Ukrainian defenders have already liberated 6 settlements in Ukraine’s south.

The Armed forces of Ukraine continue to liberate Ukrainian territories from Russian troops. In addition to the advance in the east, the Armed Forces managed to break through the front in the north of the Kherson Region and liberate a number of settlements.

“Today, the offensive movement of our army and all our defenders continued. There are new liberated settlements in several regions,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

The Ukrainian military is advancing south along the Dnieper river in the direction of the crossing near the Kakhovka HPP. Publication Reuters called this advance of the Ukrainian army the biggest breakthrough on the front in the south since the start of the full-scale invasion.

The Ukrainian army liberated the settlements of Lyubimivka, Shevchenkivka, Mykhailivka, Zolota Balka, Novooleksandrivka, and Gavrylivka in the south of Ukraine.

“The blue-yellow flag has returned to Zolota Balka of the Kherson region, the National Guardsmen inform,” Kochubeyivka Territorial Community says.

Kochubeyivka Territorial Community also reported about the liberation of Shevchenkivka.
