The anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces got the opportunity to completely block the terrorists in Horlivka, Luhansk and two strongholds of militants, head of the Center for Military-Political Studies Dmytro Tymchuk wrote on his Facebook page.
“Yesterday’s liberation of Vuhlehirsk allows the Ukrainian army, building on the success, to finally block the enemy’s forces in Horlivka. Further advancement of the ATO forces to the south-west from Lutuhine and the opposite – from Ivanivka to the south of the village of Petrivske, allows to block a group of terrorists near the settlements of Alchevsk and Stakhanov, which are strongholds of militants (this task is also being now performed),” he said.
Tymchuk added that the Ukrainian military are also blocking a group of militants near Luhansk and unlocking the local airport, where security forces hold the line.
