The Air Command “Center” noted on November 19, 2022, on Facebook that the Ukrainian air defense system would be strengthened by the American Hawk anti-aircraft missile system soon.

“A new strengthening of the Ukrainian air defense system is expected in the coming days. The American Hawk anti-aircraft missile system is on combat duty,” said the Air Command “Center”.
This air defense system has a medium operational range, which allows for destroying aircraft, and in later modifications – intercepting missiles.
“Western analysts estimate the probability of hitting an air target with the Hawk missile system at 85%. But we are firmly convinced that in the hands of Ukrainian professionals and patriots this weapon will show an even better result,” emphasized the Air Command “Center”.
Earlier, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov stated that Ukraine would need additional support from partners, including an increase in the number of IRIS-T and NASAMS missile systems.
