The embroidered shirt that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wore on Embroidery Day, May 19, was sold at a charity auction for $ 100,000. The buyer of the lot was the law firm Asters USA. The auction took place on Friday, June 3, as part of the presentation of the United 24 program at the Ukraine House in Washington.
United 24 was created to raise funds to help Ukraine. The task of the fundraising platform is to become the main center for collecting donations in support of Ukraine.
“The United States is the first country to make an official presentation of the United 24 platform. It is symbolic that this presentation is taking place on the 100th day of the Russian war against Ukraine.”
“Ukraine House was a partner of this initiative in the United States. As a result, the funds for United 24 are sent through a special account of Ukraine House. People who donate will receive all benefits in the US tax sphere, in accordance with local law,” the Ambassador explained.
