Ukraine`s exports of ferroalloys in January rose 34.9% year-on-year to 68,450 mt from 50,750 mt in January 2016, the state statistics service reported Tuesday, according to Platts.
At the same time, revenues from exports of ferroalloys soared 80.8% to $79 million from $43.7 million, the statistics service said, Platts reports.
In January, Ukraine exported 18,580 mt of ferroalloys to Turkey, 11,460 mt to Italy, 7,020 mt to Poland, 6,120 mt to the Netherlands, 5,840 mt to South Korea, 3,030 mt to Taiwan, 2,000 mt to Serbia and 1,850 mt to Romania.
Ukraine exported 49,410 mt of silicomanganese in January, up from 29,510 mt a year earlier. Exports of ferrosilicon rose to 4,640 mt from 3,150 mt, but exports of ferromanganese, including metallic manganese, fell to 8,860 mt from 11,410 mt.
Exports of ferronickel fell to 5,360 mt in January from 6,480 mt a year earlier, and exports of ferrotitanium fell to 180 mt from 200 mt.
Ukraine, one of the world`s biggest producers of ferroalloys, exported 869,690 mt of ferroalloys in 2016, up 7.1% from 811,850 mt in 2015.
