Ukraine’s Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak promised to assist in obtaining Ukrainian citizenship by foreigners defending our country in anti-terrorist operation forces.
Head of the national defense ministry stated the news at a press conference in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“There are people who came to us and defend our land. I would personally assist them in obtaining Ukrainian citizenship,” Poltorak said, responding to journalists’ questions whether citizens of the Russian Federation fighting on Ukrainian side in the Donbas conflict zone will be assisted by defense ministry in obtaining Ukrainian citizenship.
