In Ukraine successfully tested a new system of combat module “Sarmat” with anti-tank missiles, said Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko in the evening of 2 October.
The Sarmat combat module launches precision guided anti-tank missiles, capable of hitting pillboxes, tanks in the trenches, hovering helicopters, maritime surface targets, and manpower.
Sarmat can use the RK-3 missiles with a maximum range of 2,500 m or bigger RK-2S with a maximum range of 5,000 m.
The SARMAT system comprises:
Combat Module consisting of:- Rotating Platform with Launching Rails for Missiles,
– Power Unit,
– Guidance Device,
– Thermal Imager, at Customer’s request
Guided Missiles in Transport and Launching Containers;
Machine Gun;
Remote Control Panel.
