Ukraine has been forced to suspend gas transit through stations in the Russian-occupied Luhansk region (the east of Ukraine).

The operator of the Gas Transmission System of Ukraine stated that force majeure had occurred, which made it impossible to continue transporting gas through the Ukrainian GTS in the Luhansk region, through which almost a third of gas (up to 32.6 million cubic meters per day) was transiting from Russia to Europe.
As a result of the Russian war against Ukraine, several GTS facilities have been temporarily occupied, so the operator is currently unable to carry out operational and technological control over such facilities.
