“We appreciate Turkey’s efforts to unblock Ukrainian ports. At the same time, it should be noted that there are currently no agreements on this issue between Ukraine, Turkey and Russia. We emphasize that decisions must be made with the participation of all parties involved. We will reject any agreements that do not take into account the interests of Ukraine, “the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The agency stressed that Ukraine was making every effort to unblock Ukrainian seaports to prevent a global food crisis. In particular, together with the UN and partners, Ukraine is currently working on the possibility of creating a humanitarian corridor for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products.

“Given Russia’s recent missile strike on a grain terminal in Mykolaiv, we cannot rule out Russia’s plans to use such a corridor to attack Odesa and southern Ukraine. That is why effective security guarantees are needed to resume shipping.”

It is emphasized that Ukraine has already started supplying grain to the world market by trucks, rail and river transport.

“We are doing everything possible, but this issue can only be resolved comprehensively by unblocking Ukrainian ports. We call on all interested partners to work together with Ukraine to find a balanced solution that will lift Russia’s blockade of ports and provide clear security guarantees for Ukraine’s Black Sea coast and humanitarian corridors.”
