These are the funds of the five-year “Ukraine Sovereignty Bonds”, which the Canadian government issued to support Ukraine on the eve of the difficult winter period. The loan is provided on preferential terms through the administrative account of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
“The Canadian government is once again demonstrating its leadership in supporting Ukraine. We have just received 500 million Canadian dollars, which came after the issue of “Ukraine Sovereignty Bonds”. The funds will be used to finance priority expenditures of the state budget, and will also contribute to the preservation of Ukraine’s financial stability. I am grateful for the support which brings our victory over the aggressor closer,” said the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhii Marchenko.
