Over the course of a week, Russian forces carried out more than 100 strikes by Iranian drones on civilian objects in a number of Ukrainian cities. The buildings of two embassies in Kyiv were damaged. A third of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure was damaged. Dozens of people, including children, were killed and injured.
“Providing weapons to wage a war of aggression in Ukraine and kill Ukrainian citizens makes Iran complicit in the crime of aggression, war crimes and terrorist acts of Russia against Ukraine.”
Ukraine demands that Iran immediately cease supplying Russia with weapons. Otherwise, Iran and its leadership will be held accountable, especially within the framework of international court processes.
Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, appealed to the ministers of foreign affairs from member countries of the European Union to impose sanctions against Iran in order to stop Russia from executing terror attacks on Ukrainians.
“The tough sanctions against Iran are gaining particular relevance amid reports of the intentions of the Iranian side to transfer surface-to-surface ballistic missiles to Russia for its use in the war against Ukraine.”
