The Ukrainian military intelligence has identified Russian servicemen from a snipers platoon of the 5th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (No. 08805, located in Makiivka) of the 1st Army Corps (Donetsk) of the Center of Territorial Troops (Russia`s Novocherkassk) of the Southern Military District (Russia`s Rostov-on-Don) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which have been carrying out criminal orders of the Russian leadership in Donbas.
The Russian snipers operate in the vicinity of Mariinka, Slvanoye, Berezove, Novotroitske, Novohnativka, and Yasne (Donetsk region), according to the report by the Main Intelligence Department of Ukraine`s Defense Ministry.
The snipers target both civilians and the Ukrainian military. They are also involved in conducting provocative fire in the direction of patrols of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission.
