“Today we are negotiating for a total of about 7 billion euros, of which we have already received about 3 billion euros.”
In particular, on Thursday the minister signed an agreement with Germany on a tied loan of 150 million euros. In addition, last week Ukraine received € 300 million in loans from France and $ 500 million in grants from the United States.
Marchenko noted that he saw the greatest prospects in the collective support mechanism. Thus, the Ministry of Finance is negotiating with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
The World Bank has created a trust fund to support Ukraine, which can be replenished by different countries. The possibility of special borrowing rights to Ukraine (as a grant or as a loan) from other countries is being discussed with the IMF.
