As reports the operator of the Ukrainian gas transport system PJSC UKRTRANSGAZ gas transit through Ukraine grew by 23% to 82.2 billion cubic meters in 2016.
Press Service of UKRTRANSGAZ on its official website:
“Specifically, in December 2016, for the needs of European consumers were transported 8.4 billion cubic meters, which is 25% more than the same period last year. According to current information as of the date the daily volume of natural gas transit to European consumers is 245.6 million cubic meters”
For over a year, Ukrtransgaz provides the European Commission with constant online access to gas flows and ordering data to ensure independent hands-on monitoring of gas transit across Ukraine. The sides have agreed to expand the information provided by Ukrtransgaz to the European Commission, including with data on gas pressure at entry and exit points of Ukraine’s GTS.
“Ukraine continues to ensure stable gas transit,” states Press Service of UKRTRANSGAZ.
