Last Sunday in the city of Shin Yokohama, Second Ukrainian Festival in the Kanto region was held. Event was organised by the Community of Ukrainians in Japan “Kraiany”.
Visitors and guests of the festival learned about Ukrainian traditions, works of Ukraine artists.
Ukrainian restaurant was opened for the visitors of the festival. Everybody had a chance to taste Ukrainian food, sweets and wines.

There were various workshops opened for the guests. Participants could make their own pysankys, motanka dolls, postcards with vybijka technique.

At the peak of the program professional actors and amateur singers, dancers and children from the Ukrainian school Dzherelce have performed.

Event was organised by the Community of Ukrainians in Japan “Kraiany”, with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan and the Mission of Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyivan Patriarchy in Japan.
Prime sponsor of the Event was Organising Committee of the Festival “Ukraine’s Day” and Studio “Alta” which hosted the event.
Earnings of the festival (about USD 2000 ) will be sent to help for the suffering from the war in Ukraine.
