“Let today’s embroidered shirt be a reminder that we are all united and consolidated as never before. The embroidered shirt is in our heart, it is diversity, and at the same time our Ukrainian code. It is our love for the Motherland, traditions, history, and heritage. We will never give it up. Ukraine will definitely win.”

The First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska posted a photo in an embroidered shirt on social networks. And she wrote that the war filled the Day of Embroidery with “new painful content”.

Uaposition memo: Embroidery day is an international holiday that aims to preserve the original folk traditions of creating and wearing ethnic embroidered Ukrainian clothes called vyshyvanka.
