Combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 36 times in the past 24 hours, including 20 barrages in the Mariupol sector, 14 in the Luhansk sector, and two in the Donetsk sector, according to the press center of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
In the Mariupol sector, the enemy fired banned 120mm mortars near the villages of Talakivka and Novotroyitske. In addition to mortars, infantry combat vehicles, anti-aircraft guns and small arms, the occupiers used 122mm tube artillery systems to shell areas near the villages of Vodiane and Shyrokyne. In total, they lobbed 380 bombs on the Ukrainian positions there.
In the Luhansk sector, Russia`s hybrid military force used armored personnel carriers, machine guns and grenade launchers of various systems to attack the Ukrainian fortified positions near the village of Novo-Oleksandrivka. The village of Novozvanivka came under 82mm mortars fire.
In the Donetsk sector, the Ukrainian positions near the villages of Luhanske and Novhorodske were shelled twice with the use of heavy machine guns.
