Turkey has banned warships from passing through the Bosphorus

The Turkish government has said it would not allow warships to cross the Bosphorus so that the Black Sea would not be “involved” in the war.

“Mines found earlier in the Bosphorus were made in Russia, however, we don’t know which country left them. Other Black Sea countries, such as Bulgaria and Romania, are also checking waterways for mines. Maybe that mines were left for NATO minesweepers who could enter the Black Sea.”

“We will follow the rules of Montreux. We will not let warships go into the Black Sea. We will not allow the Black Sea to be drawn into the war,” Akar said.
