She also recalled that skepticism in the West, among other things, was associated with rising prices for energy and food, which Russian dictator Vladimir Putin was trying to take advantage of.
Reducing Europe’s dependence on Russian energy resources in the context of the war in Ukraine was one of the key topics discussed at the Baltic Sea Council. The German government, Baerbock said, intends to maximize the increase in renewable energy production in the region, in particular, will participate in the creation of a regional wind farm system.
