The 4th Sweden-Ukraine Business Forum (June 15-16, 2015) has started in Kyiv, Ukraine. It is organized by Business Sweden and the Embassy of Sweden in Kyiv, and is attended by high level Swedish representatives from the government and industry as well as by top officials from Ukraine.
The Swedish Trade and Invest Council states that Forum will help Ukraine to became a business partner of Sweden:
“The overall idea of the Forum is to make it easier for Swedish companies to establish or to make their business in Ukraine grow. We will promote Sweden as an innovative and competitive business partner and highlight Ukraine’s market potential in attractive business sectors. The new Ukrainian governmental team will give an update on the structural economic reforms, their impact on running business in Ukraine, and upcoming business opportunities in different sectors of the economy. The panel discussions taking place at the Forum will include international experts and analysts, international financial institutions, Swedish and Ukrainian investors, business leaders and decision makers.”
Andreas von Beckerath Ambassador of Sweden to Ukraine stressed at the Forum that Ukraine has the most reform-oriented government right now.

Minister of Finance Natalie Jaresko took part in the 4th Sweden-Ukraine Business Forum in Kyiv and has been speaking on energy subsidies, fiscal policy and the government’s reform achievements. In particular, ways of making Ukraine more attractive for foreign business and unlocking huge potential of Ukraine-Swedish trade were discussed.

“We equally treat all Eurobonds, no matter who is the creditor. We do depoliticize this issue, negotiate with all the creditors and invoke all of them to participate in the restructuring process, helping Ukraine to overcome the debt issue,” stated Natalie Jaresko.
