Denys Shmygal thanked on behalf of all Ukrainians for the great support of our state from the US Presidential Administration. In particular, for announcing the provision of a new large-scale package of military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 800 million US dollars and 500 million US dollars of direct economic assistance.

“For Ukraine’s victory in defending the independence and shared values of a democratic world, it is required further U.S. lead in supplying weapons, increasing financial assistance, and strengthening sanctions against Russia. This is the only way to force the Kremlin to end the war!” said Denys Shmyhal.

The Prime Minister told about the crimes of the occupiers on the territory of Ukraine, the numerous casualties and significant losses, about the destroyed civilian infrastructure.

“The whole world has become aware of the atrocities committed by Russian invaders in Bucha, Kramatorsk, Borodyanka, Hostomel, Mariupol, and other cities of Ukraine. We appreciate your determination to call these actions genocides. We count on joining efforts by the international community to bring the organizers and perpetrators of crimes to justice.”

President Biden conveyed the continued commitment of the United States to support the people of Ukraine and to impose costs on Russia.

During the meeting, the Ukrainian flag signed by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and a symbolic limited postage stamp indicating the direction of the Russian warship was handed over to U.S. President Joseph Biden.
