As part of the trip, the British Minister will meet with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba.
“Words are not enough. Words won’t keep the lights on this winter. Words won’t defend against Russian missiles. The UK isn’t just talking about Ukraine, we’re providing concrete support for the defence of Ukraine,” James Cleverly wrote on Twitter.
Britain is providing £3 million (about $3,632,000) to rebuild the vital infrastructure of Ukraine and a further £5 million (just under $6,053,000) to a Ukraine-led initiative to deliver grain to countries at risk of famine.
“The UK stands shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine. I’ve seen here first-hand how the UK’s efforts are helping brave citizens to resist and rebuild. Our support will continue for as long as it takes for this remarkable country to recover,” added the British Minister of Foreign Affairs.
