Terrorists are planning to use children as a “human shield” to restore the supply of ammunition, weapons and equipment, the lack of what was triggered by the recent successful actions of the Ukrainian security forces.
The spokesman for the information and analytical center of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), Andriy Lysenko, said this at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“Rapid information has been received that in order to restore the supply of all necessary things terrorists are planning to use children as a ‘human shield,'” he said.
In this regard, the command of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) asked parents who are in the combat zone to protect their children and not to leave them unattended, Lysenko said.
He noted that such immoral acts of terrorists were related to the fact that they are already experiencing shortages of ammunition, weapons and equipment due to the successful actions of Ukrainian servicemen who close every day the encirclement around the main bases of militants.
