A Ukrainian plane came under sight of the Buk anti-missile system over Khartsyzsk in Donetsk region on Wednesday, but managed to avoid possible fire and landed, press office for the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Oleksiy Dmytrashkivsky told reporters.
“During the flight the plane got in sight of the Buk system, but it safely avoided the capture and landed in a given area,” Dmytrashkivsky said.
On Wednesday morning some media citing eyewitnesses reported that a Ukrainian military aircraft was shot down over Khartsyzsk. There were also photos published, which allegedly depicted paratroopers. The ATO speaker explained that people could mistake white spots for parachutists in the sky.
