Tennis players from Ukraine and Poland raised 420 thousand euros for Ukraine

A charity tennis tournament was held in Poland to raise funds for the needs of Ukrainians affected by the war.

Last weekend, tennis players from Poland and Ukraine held a charity tournament at the Tauron Arena in Krakow. They raised funds to help children affected by the war and drew attention to the ongoing war with the Russian occupiers in Ukraine.

The organizer of the event was Iga Swiatek, the first racket of the world. Elina Svitolina, a famous tennis player and ambassador of the UNITED24 foundation was a judge in the tournament. According to her, not everyone in the world understands how terrible and bloody the war in Ukraine is.

Ukrainian tennis player Sergiy Stakhovsky also took part in the tournament as an athlete. The man says that Ukraine needs any support because the war is still going on. The special guest of the tournament was Andriy Shevchenko – goodwill ambassador of the UNITED24 charity fund.

In total, 420,000 euros were collected at the event, which will be transferred to the needs of Ukrainians.
