As distinct from decentralization, federalization will only lead to the increase in the number of officials.
Chairman of the Donetsk regional state administration Serhiy Taruta said during a meeting with workers of metallurgical enterprises at the Ilyich Iron and Steel Works, information and press department of the Donetsk regional state administration informs.
“The best way is decentralization. We are doing everything for this. From 2015, we will try to delegate maximum authorities to the local level, not to the region, but directly to towns and settlements,” the governor said.
Speaking about the course of the antiterrorist operation in Donetsk region, Serhiy Taruta stressed that regional authorities do everything in order to preserve the regional industry.
“Our common task is not to lose fixed assets in those difficult times,” the regional head said.
The governor repeatedly stressed that people, who recently stood for the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic, were simply cheated by proposing slogans instead of concrete economic programs.
