“People in Ukraine are having a very difficult time right now, and Sweden is therefore contributing more than half a billion kroner for the long-term reconstruction of the country,” noted the Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of Sweden.

Details of the new aid package will be presented at the conference of donors of Ukraine in Paris, which will be held on December 13, 2022.

“It is about rebuilding schools that have been destroyed, hospitals, infrastructure and agriculture. Both to alleviate the need and to strengthen Ukraine’s resilience so that they can continue to resist the invasion,” says Johan Forssell.

Sweden will support Ukraine in the long term.

“The government’s 600 million package will be the latest in a series of Swedish aid efforts to Ukraine. In mid-November, the government presented a “Winter package” which contained military winter equipment, tents and masking nets as well as humanitarian aid worth SEK 720 million,” noted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden.
