US Secretary of State said after a visit to Kyiv that a sovereign independent Ukraine would last much longer than Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“The bottom line is this: We don’t know how the rest of this war will unfold, but we do know that a sovereign independent Ukraine will be around a lot longer than Vladimir Putin is on the scene. Our support for Ukraine going forward will continue until we see final success.”
He noted that Russia “had failed in Ukraine” and “Ukraine had succeeded.”
“Russia sought to take away its sovereignty, to take away its independence (of Ukraine). It failed. It wanted to prove the power of the military, and its economy. We, of course, see just the opposite,” he added.
